Kenai Peninsula Bat Removal & Exclusion
The Critter Squad Inc. provides professional bat removal, bat exclusion and guano cleanup for homes, cabins, rentals and lodges across the Kenai Peninsula.
How We Remove Bats
We inspect the home, seal every secondary opening, install one-way excluders at the main entry points, close the final gaps and clean the contaminated areas.

Inspection
We inspect the roofline, attic, chimney, vents and exterior to locate the main entry points, other open gaps and areas that bats could use later.

Seal Up
We seal every open and vulnerable area except the bats' main entry points. This prevents them from moving to another opening during the exclusion.

Exclusion
We install one-way bat excluders over the main entry points. The bats can fly out normally, but the devices prevent them from getting back inside.

Removal
After the bats have left, we remove the excluders and seal the final entry points. The home is now closed against bats and the colony cannot return.

Cleanup
We remove guano and contaminated insulation, sanitize and deodorize the affected areas, and install new insulation where needed.
Get the Bats Out and Keep Them Out
We will find the entry points, explain the work and give you a clear scope for removal, cleanup and repairs.
What You Are Dealing With
Bat Removal for Kenai Peninsula Homes and Cabins
The Critter Squad Inc. provides professional bat removal, bat exclusion and guano cleanup across the Kenai Peninsula. We work on houses, cabins, rentals, lodges, barns, shops and commercial buildings in Anchor Point, Kenai, Soldotna, Homer and the surrounding communities.
Little brown bats are the only bat species known on the Kenai Peninsula. When they get into a building, they roost in warm, protected voids like attics and furnace rooms. Our job is to get them out, keep them out, and clean up the mess they leave behind.
We handle the full job from start to finish: bat inspections, humane exclusion, guano cleanup.

Signs You Have a Bat Colony
Bats are quieter than rodents. You may hear soft chirping, scratching or fluttering that gets louder around dusk. The clearest sign is standing outside at last light and watching bats leave from one specific gap in the roofline.
- Bats flying out at dusk from an attic vent, gable end, roof peak, soffit joint or chimney
- Chirping, scratching or fluttering in the attic or inside a wall void
- Dark guano pellets and staining below eaves, vents, siding joints and exterior walls
- A persistent ammonia-like odor coming from the attic into the living space
- A bat found in a bedroom, stairwell or unfinished area
- Activity that returns to the same opening every spring

Structures Bats Actually Use Here

Alaska Buildings, Alaska Timing
The Critter Squad Inc. works out of Anchor Point and handles bat exclusion across the Kenai Peninsula. One species, a short active season, and a building stock full of seasonal cabins, steep gables and weathered wood siding means the work here does not look like bat work anywhere else.
- Based in Anchor Point, covering the Kenai Peninsula from Homer to Nikiski
- Focused on little brown bats, the only bat species known on the Peninsula
- Thorough roofline, attic and exterior inspections with photo-documented entry point maps
- Dusk observation to confirm active entrances before any device is installed
- Humane exclusion only: no poison, no repellents, no ultrasonic devices
- Guano cleanup, insulation replacement and odor treatment after exclusion
Bat Removal Questions, Answered
What kind of bats get into homes on the Kenai Peninsula?+
Little brown bats. They are the only bat species known in the area, and they use buildings because warm attics and furnace rooms give females a place to raise pups during the short Alaska summer.
How do you remove bats without harming them?+
We seal the unused gaps and install one-way exits at the active entry points. The bats can leave but cannot get back inside. We do not use poison, repellents or traps.
What actually gets bats out permanently?+
Exclusion. Alaska Fish and Game states that exclusion is the only effective permanent solution for bats in buildings. That means finding every entry point, confirming the active ones, installing one-way devices, sealing all secondary gaps, leaving devices in place for at least seven days, and then permanently closing the last openings.
Do bat repellents, ultrasonic devices or mothballs work?+
No. Alaska Fish and Game states that deterrents such as mothballs and ultrasonic devices do not work, and using pesticides on bats is illegal. Poisoning also leaves dead bats decomposing inside the structure.
Will the bats come back after the work is done?+
The goal is to keep them out by sealing every opening they can use, not just the main entrance. We inspect the roofline, vents, chimney, soffits and siding, then close the remaining entry points after the colony has left.
Do you handle cabins and rentals where nobody lives full time?+
Yes. Seasonal cabins, vacation rentals, lodges, barns and shops are a large part of our work. We document everything with photos and a written scope so owners and property managers who are not on site can make decisions remotely.
